Dreams are made of short barreled sub-machine guns. What little boy didn't play army growing up with an Uzi in his imagination. Israeli Defense Forces, the US Secret Service and many other secret police forces all around the world have carried the Uzi sub-machine gun. Capable of 600 rounds per minute with an open bolt and floating firing pin, this is truly histories fantasy gun in the flesh.

The model I reviewed and fired is an Action Arms LLC, Israeli made, semi auto, closed bolt Uzi. Folding stock, with a black stamped receiver chambered in 9mm, this is one mean little rifle. I could not stop my imagination from running wild with images in my head of trench coats, single point rifle slings and an aura of mystery and clandestine cold war encounters.

The weapon was compact, light and full of sharp edges. All black and mean looking, it struck me that it was built for function only. No marketing artwork here, just pure muscle. Yet, its magazine slammed home like it knew its way there by heart, the pistol grip safety depressed like squeezing butter and the fit and grip were made for control. Its 9mm round was totally manageable, with or without the stock deployed. I found it accurate and easy to shoot at short range (25 yards). If I'd a gripe, it was how stiff and difficult the folding butt stock was to deploy. Yup, I would say the Uzi has earned its sweet reputation and the fact that over 6 million of them have been made is no accident.  We have more modern firearms such as the  PS90 to admire these days, but it will be a long time before any modern firearm usurps the Uzi from the hearts and minds of men, or this girl.  - Ana

When it comes to rainy Seattle, it's hard to get a nice tan, well, unless of course, you manage a tanning salon! Meet the very beautiful Amanda Sherherd and get ready to feel all the heat that Seattle has to offer. This lovely lady is not one to lay around all day soaking up the rays, you will find her on the go, pretty much all the time. She runs a busy modeling schedule, acts as a spokes-model and enjoys all that the Seattle area has to offer.  Why did Amanda learn to shoot? Well while in New Orleans 5 years ago, she and the guy she was with were held up at gun point. "It was a helpless feeling, I knew right then and there I wanted to learn to shoot, buy a gun and get a carry permit. I refuse to be a victim!" Amanda is certainly the kind of girl you would want at your side if things got serious! <3
